Will I need a passport?
Yes, get one today.  Your first step of faith needs to be to apply for your passport.  Even if you don't feel like you will be taking a trip soon.  If God is speaking to your heart about the nations this is your first step.  All countries that we travel to require a valid US passport for travel.  To obtain a passport for the first time, you need to go in person to one of 7,000 passport acceptance facilities located throughout the United States with two photographs of yourself, proof of U.S. citizenship, and a valid form of photo identification such as a driver’s license.

Acceptance facilities include many Federal, state and probate courts, post offices, some public libraries and a number of county and municipal offices. There are also 13 regional passport agencies, most of which serve only those who are departing urgently. Appointments are required in such cases.

You’ll need to apply in person if you are applying for a U.S. passport for the first time, if your expired U.S. passport is not in your possession, if your previous U.S. passport has expired and was issued more than 15 years ago, if your previous U.S. passport was issued when you were under 16, or if your currently valid U.S. passport has been lost or stolen.

  • Your passport is not recognized as a valid travel document until it is SIGNED by the bearer.
  • Some countries require that your U.S. passport be valid at least 6 months or longer beyond the dates of your trip. If your passport expires before the required validity, you will have to apply for a new one.
  • For persons 16 years of age and older, a US passport is usually valid for ten years from the date of issue. Otherwise, it is valid for five years.  Passports can take up to several months to process.
  • Before you travel, please be sure to make a photocopy of your passport and leave it at home and take a second copy with you in case your passport is lost or stolen.

To download forms or receive more information, visit the US governments helpful passport page located at: http://travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738.html

To apply for a US passport you can also use a Passport issuing agent such as Travel the World Visa.  To contact Travel the World Visa see the information provided below in the  "Will I need a visa?" section.

Will I need a visa?
Many of the countries that we travel to will not require a visa.  Our offices will advise you as to whether or not you will need a visa.  If a visa is required we will provide you with specific information about how to apply.  We will provide you with all of the details you will need.  We use a visa service center for visas called "Travel the World Visas."  Their services will cost a little more but it is worth the fee to have someone knowledgeable personally attending to your application.  The most important thing to remember when applying for a visa is to follow the instructions to the letter.  Please be patient and remember you are dealing with a lot of bureaucracy.
